Yet, the task of translating all the nutritional knowledge we’ve read into a sensible meal plan isn’t so easy. Sometimes life gets busy and overwhelming, making it difficult for even the most well-informed people to stay on track without more structure than a couple of general recommendations.
I am a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and a Metabolic Efficiency Training Specialist located in Rochester, NY. I understand the many challenges people are faced with when it comes to proper nutrition -- not to mention, having to filter through the insane amount of nutrition information on the internet. It's too much! Being an athlete, I understand the demanding needs of training and finding the proper balance with nutrition. It's definitely a fine balance. If you're a recreational or beginner exerciser or if you train at a higher level, you are considered an athlete!
My philosophy strongly promotes total self care. Not only do my programs focus on the nutrition aspect but I also review current exercise, sleep, mobility, hydration, stress, and other lifestyle factors. I feel it is important to build a strong foundation of total self care while encompassing the nutrition piece to live optimally. I provide recommendations and realistic strategies to start building new systems and habits to make it part of your everyday routine.
I am your personal dietitian AND your coach. All of my programs include weekly check-ins, follow-up appointments, unlimited emails, texts, phone calls. There is an option to track foods while I view your diary weekly—whether this be through an app or by texting pictures of your meals. I am here to motivate you, encourage you, hold you accountable and empower you to be the best version of yourself. I am here for whatever amount of support you need to help you reach your goals.
My main nutrition approach is based off of the nutrition concept, Metabolic Efficiency™. Its a nutrition lifestyle approach that is not a diet, nor is it restrictive. It teaches your body how to use the right nutrients more efficiently by optimizing and stabilizing blood sugars. This is done by incorporating specific types of foods at every meal and snack. Metabolic Efficiency is the foundation used in all of my nutrition programs. There are a number of benefits when adopting this concept into your nutrition lifestyle to include, weight loss/fat loss, enhancing athletic performance and improving overall health. I meet with every client on a very individualized approach to include personalized meal plans that support Metabolic Efficiency, as well as providing guidance and motivation to achieve specific goals.
